David McEvoy Speaks

This Thursday nigt 15th October at 8pm in the Coimin centre in Blessington 5th generation Ballyknockan stonemason David McEvoy will do a 45 minute talk about the Ballyknockan Quarries and the craft of Stone masonry. He will talk about Ballyknockan granite, stone cutters, splitting granite, tempering tools and his own experience. Both David and his brother John served their time to the craft, they held stone cutters cards from BATU, they were lucky to have met and worked with great stone cutters of our time, old stone names that keep going , because it's in the blood.

David will also be appearing with his brother John on Wicklow County matters this Sunday on Irish TV channel 191 SKY.
